The Rise of E-Scooters
E-scooters have surged in popularity, becoming a staple in urban transportation. They are convenient, affordable, and eco-friendly, offering a quick and efficient way to travel short distances. However, this rapid growth has brought new safety and legal challenges.
Safety Concerns
The increase in e-scooter usage has led to a rise in accidents. Studies show that head injuries account for 40% of e-scooter injuries treated in emergency rooms (Trivedi et al., 2019). Lack of helmet use, unpredictable riding behavior, and inadequate infrastructure contribute to these risks.
Liability Issues
